Foundation Certificate

This certification provides candidates with a general overview of the key concepts and best practice principles of green IT. This includes an introduction to national and international laws and regulations.

Who is this aimed at?

Anyone who is required to have an understanding of or an interest in green IT. This includes IT professionals as well as those responsible for corporate social responsibility and procurement or infrastructure.

What are the entry requirements?

None. Training with a BCS accredited training provider is recommended.

What format is the exam?

  • One hour ‘closed book’
  • 40 multiple choice questions
  • Pass mark is 65% (26/40)

Where can I take the exam?

Option 1: With an accredited training provider

Option 2: Online exam (at a test centre: Pearson Vue or Prometric)

Option 3: At a public sitting (exam only):

Exam fees for public sittings must be paid a minimum of four weeks prior to the exam date by cheque (payable to BCS), Visa, Access or MasterCard.
