Managing Successful Programmes (MSP)

Advanced practitioner certificate

This advanced level will confirm that candidates can lead and manage a programme of transformational change by applying the MSP guidance. They will be able to determine whether it is an appropriate framework for an identified change initiative and evaluate the effectiveness of the application of each of the MSP principles, governance themes and transformational flow processes.

Who is this aimed at?

A variety of roles, including (but not limited to), SROs, programme managers, those appointed to lead a portfolio or programme support function, BCMs and other programme support and management professionals.

What are the entry requirements?

Foundation and Practitioner certificates in MSP.

What format is the exam?

  • Three hour ‘open book’ (official book only)
  • Written, essay-based with up to three questions per paper
  • Pass mark is 50% (38/75)

How do I re-register my practitioner status?

All MSP advanced practitioners should be re-registered within 3-5 calendar years of their original certification.* To re-register you can re-take the above Advanced Practitioner exam.

* This is a requirement for candidates who have taken the MSP Practitioner certification since January 2008. Practitioners certified prior to October 2008 have the opportunity to take the re-registration exam to demonstrate their commitment to professional development. Re-registration is only required for the highest level of qualification achieved.
