ITIL Expert

Higher certificate

The ITIL® Expert certificate demonstrates a higher level of knowledge of the ITIL scheme and is required to achieve certification as an ITIL Master.

Who is this aimed at?

IT service management professionals who have passed the Foundation and Intermediate level certifications and would like to apply for the ITIL Master certification.

What are the entry requirements?

You must hold the ITIL Foundation Certificate and the Managing Across the Lifecycle certificate. You also need to have accumulated 22 credits in total through the ITIL qualification scheme.

Not all combinations of intermediate certificates can be used to meet the 22 credit requirement for ITIL Expert. To check the eligibility of your combinations of exams, please visit the ITIL website.

Please note: From 1 April 2016 BCS will not be providing ITIL pins for those that have successfully completed their examinations.
