Software Asset Management Essentials

Foundation Certificate

Learn how to manage software assets through the stages of their lifecycle with this certificate, as described in the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL®) guide to software asset management. Candidates will learn about techniques and processes and understand the interdependencies with other IT and service management processes.

Who is this aimed at?

Anyone working in IT with one or two years’ experience or who is involved in the management or procurement of software.

What are the entry requirements?

None. Training with a BCS accredited training provider is recommended and candidates should have a good awareness of IT service management terminology and concepts.

What format is the exam?

  • One hour ‘closed book’
  • 40 multiple choice questions
  • Pass mark is 65% (26/40)
