Practitioner certificate

This certificate provides an understanding of important consultancy skills, practices and techniques that a professional consultant should need. This also includes understanding organisational politics, handling client issues and managing client relationships.

Who is this aimed at?

Those who have well-developed technical or business skills and need to operate in a consultative role, providing expert guidance to internal and external clients.

What are the entry requirements?

None. Ideally candidates should have at least three years’ experience or recognised qualifications in the discipline in which they plan to provide consultancy. Training with a BCS accredited training provider is  recommended.

What format is the exam?

  • Two hour ‘closed book’ with 15 minutes reading time
  • Written, based on a business scenario
  • Pass mark is 50%

With an accredited training provider where you can attend a training course with an exam, or book the exam only.
