Foundation Certificate

This certificate provides an understanding of current UK data protection laws, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UK Data Protection Bill, including how these are applied in practice and its importance for any organisation holding personal information. Candidates will acquire a sound grounding in the key elements of data protection law and its practical application.

Who is this aimed at?

Anyone who needs to understand data protection and GDPR in particular.

What are the entry requirements?

None. Some knowledge of data protection law would be an advantage.

What format is the exam?

  • One hour ‘closed book’
  • 40 multiple choice questions
  • Pass mark is 65% (26/40)
